About Berapantera
Berapantera is located in Hartford, WI about 40 minutes NW of Milwaukee. I have been involved with Highland Cats since 2018, when I bought my first non-standard Highlander with the intention of continuing her sire's blood line as I helped work towards Champion Status in the TICA cat registry.
Besides breeding, I have enjoyed showing my standard Highlanders at TICA and ACFA Cat Shows. The breeding I do is to continue the blood lines for the cats that I show.
The Highlander breed is currently working with the University of Missouri and Dr. Lyons 99 Lives Project to genome sequence the tail gene of 3 blood lines that have been proven to have an unknown tail variant that causes the shortened tail. Berapantera has 2 cats from 2 of the 3 blood lines that are going to be used in the breeding program and my female has been and will continue to be shown at Cat Shows.
